We've been keeping a careful eye on Bristol-based songwriter Katy J Pearson since her timeless Heavenly Recordings debut 'Tonight'. Returning with another aural delight, 'Take Back The Radio' is a driving take on Pearson's folk-tinged indie-rock. Moving forward with a subtle krautrock undercurrent, rhythmic synths ripple around a simple yet effective bass line as Pearson's distinctive vocals cut through the spacey instrumentation. Arriving alongside a beautifully animated lyric video by the talented Raissa Pardini, who's worked on bits for the likes of Squid, The Orielles and more, there's no better time for a bit of self-imposed karaoke. -Holly Mullineaux
